Prompt:
If possible, interview the person who named you, or someone who knew the person who named you, and find out how your name came to be your own.
Think about a word that best represents who you are, what you value, what you hope to be or what is your guiding principal. Try to think of a “value” word: This is a word that stands for an idea. Think in terms of a belief word, like: virtue, patience, perseverance, charity, hope. Research the etymology of your value word.
Finally, come up with a first name that better fits your personality. If you could choose any name today what would it be and why.
Write a personal narrative, in first person, which incorporates your research discoveries. You can use I, but not you.
